Online trombone lessons from one of Canada's top musicians

Trombonist Nick La Riviere has performed all over the map, including Mexico, England, Ireland, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, The USA, and across Canada. He's performed as a sideman with award winning bands that play jazz, folk, pop, latin, celtic, klezmer, classical, ska, and more. A few bands and performers Nick has played with include Michael Kaeshammer, 54-40, Stephen Page, Nikki Yanofsky, The Temptations, and more.

As a writer and arranger, Nick's arrangements have been recorded by many bands. Many school programs across the country are using his charts for their R&B band programs.

Trombone lessons are available to musicians of all skill levels from beginner to very advanced. There's always something to work on whether you're just getting started and want to make sure you don't pick up any bad habits, or you're already well advanced and want to improve. Lessons cover everything from the basics, tone, tonguing, rhythm and note reading, to improvisation, playing in various genres, and arranging for groups. Music lessons aren't just for students who are struggling in band class (though it helps with them too). Music is something there are no boundaries on how much you can improve, and the more you do the more rewarding it is!

Lessons take place online over Zoom (or Facetime/Skype if you prefer). The studio is set up with professional recording microphones so students are able to hear Nick demonstrate playing techniques with good sound quality.
