EFL teacher(Teaching English to Korean children)

We are looking to fill a teaching post in our home-based EFL school. TipTop English School is an established business that has been operating in Mill Bay for 13 years. Our students are Korean, and live and study with us for three-to-four month EFL camps, during which they learn conversation, vocabulary, and pronunciation. They also prepare for university entrance exams back home in Korea. We have developed our own highly effective curriculum over many years of experience and careful assessment. The job is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm or 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm. We can possibly have break the position into 2 or 3 part time job. Payment, $30/hr plus travel time and contribution from the business for gas. Details to be discussed further during interview of any successful candidates. The successful candidate must be mature in behaviour, comfortable with cultural differences, and good with language. Clear speech is essential. The teacher must be willing and able to stay off his or her phone entirely during teaching hours, and English must be the first language. The successful candidate must make a practice of coming to work a few minutes early so as to be ready to teach and in the classroom at exactly 8 o'clock each morning, as our schedule requires precision in timing. Enjoyment in playing with kids is important, as is the ability to learn and play board games. Finally, all employees of TipTop English Camp must be willing and able to get a vulnerable sector criminal record check. Our teachers frequently comment on how easy these children are to teach; while having various levels of ability, these students are respectful, hardworking, and are invested in the learning process. This position is open to people of most age-groups, however, university students and retired people have been our most common employees.
