
Virtual Administrative Assistant - Vancouver Island Position: Virtual Administrative Assistant (Contract) Company: She Hacks Purple Consulting Inc. Location: Remote - Must reside on Vancouver Island (Victoria to Nanaimo corridor) Hours: 10 hours/week (2 hours per day, Monday-Friday) Schedule: Flexible within business hours Type: Independent Contractor Rate: $30/hour Start Date: Immediate Position Summary: We are seeking an EXPERIENCED, self-directed Virtual Administrative Assistant based on Vancouver Island (between Victoria and Nanaimo) to manage daily email correspondence, social media inboxes, and calendar management. This is a part-time contract position with potential for growth as our business expands. The ideal candidate will have proven administrative experience and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Why Vancouver Island? We prefer someone in our time zone and we may have a requirement for you to send physical mail. Daily Responsibilities (2 hours/day): Morning Email & Inbox Management: Review and triage email inbox Draft and send routine responses using templates Flag priority items requiring direct attention Manage and respond to social media inboxes (LinkedIn, x, BlueSky) Create daily summary of actions taken and items pending Calendar & Administrative Tasks: Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate meetings Send appointment confirmations and reminders if not automated Update calendar systems and resolve conflicts Handle ad-hoc requests (occasional PowerPoint formatting, approximately twice monthly) Prepare end-of-day status report Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of administrative assistant experience Must reside on Vancouver Island between Victoria and Nanaimo Proven experience with email and calendar management Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and PowerPoint) Excellent written communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment High level of discretion with confidential information Reliable high-speed internet connection Dedicated quiet workspace Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a virtual/remote assistant Located on Vancouver Island Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, excel, word, powerpoint) Experience with social media direct messages (x, LinkedIn) Basic bookkeeping knowledge What We Offer: $30/hour contractor rate Flexible daily schedule 100% remote work No commute - work from your Vancouver Island home Potential to increase hours as business grows Opportunity to transition to employee status with benefits (future) Professional development opportunities Work directly with business owner Learn about Cybersecurity (our business) to protect your personal devices and accounts Growth Potential: This position starts at 10 hours/week with real opportunity for growth.
