The Eduardoño Corvina 225 is the classic panga, built for today. The Corvina 225 is a boat that delivers unexpected performance, even for those familiar with the panga. Designed by Eduardoño in collaboration with Yamaha, the Corvina is a modern evolution of the revolutionary panga hull. The sharp v-bow cuts through chop and wind swell, and the flared gunwales sheet the spray outboard in a following sea. Eduardoño has taken the traditional panga delta pad and sculpted a unique geometry, providing quick, predictable, and responsive handing characteristics—something not familiar to classic panga owners. The flat delta pad design also leaves the narrow-beam Corvina an exceptionally stable craft. Strong floatation reaching nearly to the gunwales allows sportfishers, freedivers, and SCUBA divers to have confidence when reaching or leaning over the gunwale. The Eduardoño design still leaves the Corvina 225 the most efficient hull on the market today. Tsunami Pangas has tested the Corvina in mixed sea conditions and achieved fuel economy of over 7 mpg at 20kt (37km/h). A 100 litre main tank allows for a nearly 200 mile range! The classic delta pad design combined with a diffuser section at the stern allows for unparalleled performance. The Corvina 225 is rated for up to 150HP, however she cruises comfortably at over 20kt (37km/h) with a single Yamaha 60HP outboard. There is simply no other boat on the market that can deliver comparable performance, particularly at 22'. The extremely shallow draught also reduces the holeshot time to nearly nothing. Again, there is no 22' boat on the market which gets on plane as quickly as the Corvina 225. Even a 20HP outboard has been shown to get the Corvina on plane!
